2:10 PM CASE STUDY: Developing a Holistic People Strategy to Address Engagement, Capability Development and Culture at the National Gallery of Australia

The National Gallery of Australia has recently undertaken a significant organizational review and restructure which has led to, among other things, the development of the NGA People Strategy 2018 – 2020. The strategy responds to challenges around resourcing, recruitment and attraction, as well as building capacity to future proof their workforce in the coming years. Stephen will share their people strategy journey and how this will influence future strategic workforce planning, including:

  • Utilising employee engagement surveys, and other metrics, to highlight areas for improvement including leadership capability, efficient and effective project planning, communication networks and collaborative work
  • How the strategy will support and develop an engaged workforce adaptive to change and
  • How the strategy assists in addressing future priorities such as responding to digital disruption, how the NGA does business and the capabilities required of staff
